A founding member of FIG Partners, LLC, Geoff has been involved in all aspects of the community bank and thrift sector since 1994. He has been making markets in over 200 community bank and thrift stocks on all levels of the NASDAQ stock market for the past ten years. Prior to his equity experience, he was a community bank and thrift asset/liability analyst for SunTrust Capital Markets. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and holds a Master of Science in Finance from Georgia State University.

Managing Principal

A founding partner at ASG Securities. Adam was responsible for business development, focusing exclusively on the small to mid-cap bank and thrift market. Prior to ASG Securities he worked for Raymond James and Associates in fixed income sales, at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in the financial quadrant, and Trident Securities in equity sales. He has extensive contacts and communications with executives at over 250 banks and thrifts and the majority of the institutional equity managers who invest in these companies. Adam graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics and Political Science.

Managing Principal and Director of Research

Prior to the formation of FIG Partners, LLC, Chris served as senior research analyst at The Robinson-Humphrey Co., SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, and Interstate/Johnson Lane (now Wachovia Securities). He has been an analyst since 1992, and has covered banks, thrifts, REITs, and finance companies during his career. Chris brings a grass roots research discipline to FIG Partners. A two-time winner of The Wall Street Journal "Best on the Street" survey and noted by Institutional Investor magazine as an "Up and Comer" during several annual investor polls. Chris graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kent State University and is a CFA charterholder.

Matthew Veneri Matthew Veneri   (mveneri@figpartners.com)
Senior Vice President

Matt specializes in advising financial institutions on their strategic options and financial needs. His experience includes merger and acquisition transactions, the valuation of banks and thrifts, and the implementation of strategic alternatives for financial institutions. In this capacity, he has been involved in numerous whole-bank transactions in excess of $1 Billion in deal value plus branch transactions totaling several hundred million in deposits. Previously, Mr. Veneri worked for Hovde Financial in Washington D.C. and also Danielson Associates, Inc., - both investment banking firms specializing in mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and valuation for commercial banks, thrifts, etc. A native of Houston, Texas, Matt is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He actively participates in programs of World Vision, a humanitarian organization dedicated to helping poor and oppressed communities worldwide.

Lawless Eric Lawless  (elawless@figpartners.com)
Senior Vice President

Eric's concentration is mainly geared toward business development focusing on the management of small to mid-cap banks and thrifts. His experience includes Analyst at Lockheed Martin in Greenville, SC; Financial Advisor at American Express Financial Advisors in Atlanta, GA; and Trader/Equity Sales at ASG Securities. Eric provides extensive experience to banks and thrifts on capital management strategies, particularly share repurchase programs and executing capital raises. He has a broad knowledge on insider transactions including 144 sales and cashless option exercises. Eric attended Clemson University and received a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from Kennesaw State University.

Senior Vice President

Jeff specializes in advising financial institutions regarding potential strategic and financial alternatives. In these areas, his focus is assisting clients with capital raising efforts and offering advice relating to mergers and acquisitions. He was previously a Partner at Rodgers Capital Group, a 30-year-old merchant banking firm headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. While at RCG, he assisted his clients in a variety of capital raising and M&A assignments across a wide array of industries, while assisting his partners with investment decisions regarding partnership capital. He began his investment banking career with Equitable Securities, a private investment bank, which later sold to SunTrust Banks. Jeff graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Finance. He is one of the co-founders of Nashville RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities), a non-profit assisting over 1,000 inner city youth in their efforts to learn and play the game.

Mike has over 14 years of extensive mutual to stock conversion experience. He served as a Vice President in an eight-year career at Capital Resources, Inc., managing over two dozen mutual thrift conversions, and participating in at least 25 additional conversions. Mike served as a Vice President of Investments for Legg Mason for three years prior to joining to ASG Securities. His background includes extensive experience serving high net-worth and institutional clients who primarily invest in banks and thrifts. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.

Fontaine has over 30 years of experience in the investment industry, serving as Managing Director of Institutional Sales - Equity Capital Markets for Wachovia Securities and Interstate/Johnson Lane Capital Markets. He developed both domestic and international accounts as Senior Vice President at Johnson Lane Capital Markets and at The Robinson-Humphrey Company. Fontaine brings depth and history of coverage for the institutional marketplace. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.

Chris joined FIG Partners in 2005 after 20+ years in Institutional Sales at Hoefer & Arnett, Podesta & Co., Howe Barnes, and other dedicated financial institutions firms. Chris has a superb eye for value and brings both institutional and personal relationships to FIG. His business approach includes working with bank directors, bank management and former bankers who appreciate the community banking investment model. Chris has a knack for being early on many emerging banks and turnaround stocks. He is a graduate of DePaul University.

Chief Administrative Officer, Vice President

Barbara joined FIG Partners from Robinson-Humphrey and Interstate/Johnson Lane (now Wachovia Securities) with over 20 years experience in Equity Capital Markets. Being a registered principal and sales supervisor, she provides additional compliance and supervisory support. She is responsible for all internal functions of FIG, and she also has extensive experience as a conference and meeting planner. Barbara received her BA and MLS degrees from Rutgers University.

Vice President and Research Analyst

Tim is responsible for coverage of Western Region banks and thrifts for FIG Partners and is based in San Francisco. Previously, he was a research analyst for Green Street Capital Management, an asset manager focused exclusively on micro- and small-cap community bank stocks. Before that he covered the banking industry for several business publications in San Diego, CA and won 1st place in Investigative Reporting from the Associated Press in 2004. Tim has an MS in Financial Analysis from the University of San Francisco and a BA in Economics from San Diego State University.

Lynn has partnered with Mike Godby in the mutual to stock conversion area servicing high net worth individuals and institutions. With over 20 years experience in the investment banking industry, her main areas of expertise are in institutional sales and trading, most recently as a Vice President and Sales Trader with SunTrust Equitable Securities. Lynn got her start in the business as an institutional sales assistant with First Boston. She attended West Georgia College and currently holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Shanon joins us with 15 years of retail and institutional sales experience. Shortly after graduating with a BS degree in Financial Management from Clemson University he joined PaineWebber in Atlanta, Georgia servicing private clients. He left for an Institutional Equity Sales position with The Volume Investor (now Neovest Trading) whose products combined quantitative models with technical analysis to identify future stock market leaders. Currently, Shanon is a candidate in the chartered financial analyst program. At FIG Partners he services primarily institutional clients as well as a limited number of private clients.

Randi attended The University of South Carolina and earned a B.A. from New England College.

Matt came to us from Boston where he was a founding member of The Benchmark Co, LLC. His primary expertise while with Benchmark was in business development, institutional sales trading, and execution in equities and derivatives. Matt currently works in the trading department, with additional focus on business development on the buy-side, as well as serving a variety of banks. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Legal Studies from Ithaca College, NY and currently holds NASD series 7, 63, and 55 licenses.

Eric has been in the institutional investment business for almost ten years. Most recently he was a principal and salesman for the Atlanta office of Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co., Inc. He covered institutions in the Midwest and the Southeast. He developed extensive knowledge of the Financial Services Sector while at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co., Inc. He holds the Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 licenses. He attended the University of Maryland and served in the United States Navy.

Kim comes to FIG Partners with over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, initially raising capital for private companies in various stages of growth and most recently as Vice President of Institutional Equity Sales with SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. Previous to entering the financial business she spent 5 years with Collins & Aikman, during which time she worked commercially with antimicrobial/antistatic textile fibers. She graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Colorado.

Tim has over twenty-two years of experience in institutional equity sales, research and trading. His broad background serving institutional clients includes tenures at Charles Schwab; Sterne, Agee & Leach; Jones Institutional Trading; Wachovia Capital Markets; and Equitable Securities. He has an in depth understanding of investment management, financial markets and trading strategies, plus knowledge of equity options trading. Tim holds a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas. Associate Research Analyst

Brett has over 8 years experience as a technical market analyst. He believes strongly in the value of a combined, fundamental and technical approach to market and stock analysis. His work emphasizes relative strength and inter-market relationships, but his specialties also include quantitative modeling and statistical analysis. He also assists in authoring fundamental reports on FIG's covered companies, as well as co-authoring both the daily and weekly industry reports. Brett has completed the Chartered Market Technician program offered by the Market Technicians Association (MTA) and is currently a candidate in the CFA Program. He holds a B.S. in Economics from The University of Idaho.

Lozan joins us from New Orleans where he attended Tulane University and was the Associate Director for the Burkenroad Reports Program, a student-run equity research shop in which students prepared investment reports on more than 40 small- and mid-cap companies. He has an MBA with Finance and Management concentrations from Tulane University and a B.A. from Sofia University in Bulgaria. Lozan holds NASD Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 licenses.

Trish began assisting full time on FIG Partners' trade desk in March after spending over a year working in research with Chris Marinac, developing some of the firm's proprietary models and creating quarterly and weekly industry studies. Her strengths in problem solving and developing large-scale projects under a deadline made her a natural candidate for FIG's trading operations. She currently holds the NASD Series 7, 63, and 55 licenses as well as a B.A. in Spanish from The University of Georgia.

Timothy R. Chrisman
Chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of San Francisco and also Chairman of the Council of Federal Home Loan Banks, the system's 12-bank trade organization. Tim is the founding principal of Chrisman & Company, Inc., a Los Angeles-based retained executive search firm, placing senior leaders into both West Coast financial institutions and banks nationwide. He was the Chairman of Hawthorne Savings prior to its sale in 2004, a former director of Commercial Capital Bancorp (CCBI), and also has 10 years experience as an executive for a $2 billion banking institution. Tim was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968. A graduate of California State University in Fresno, Tim is a senior advisor for FIG Partners' Los Angeles office.

Robert Desmond
Vice President and Portfolio Manager of MBO Advisors, Milwaukee Wisconsin. Formerly COO of Republic Capital Group (RSLA) in Milwaukee, WI (now owned by TCF Financial [TCB - NYSE]), Mr. Desmond has over 30 years of banking experience. He began his career as a National Bank Examiner in Washington, DC, later moving to Ernst & Ernst specializing in bank audits in their Detroit office, and then COMAC (Parsons Group) as an accounting specialist in Detroit. He spent 15 years as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer of a seven-bank holding group in Chicago, serving as president of one of the banks. He has served as president of Republic Capital Group, a $1 billion multi-bank holding company, executing five acquisitions and a mutual to stock conversion. Most recently, Mr. Desmond has been responsible for equity investments in the financial institutions sector for Heartland Advisors and MBO Advisors. Mr. Desmond graduated from Georgetown University in 1963 and attended Harvard Community Banking School. A CPA (Certified Public Accountant), his professional licenses NASD Series 6, 7, and 63.

Timothy Matz
Senior and managing partner of Elias, Matz, Tiernan, & Herrick, L.L.P. in Washington, DC. Mr. Matz joined the firm in 1971 and was formerly associated with Bryan, Cave, McPheeters and McRoberts in St. Louis, and was Associate General Counsel of the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia, George Washington University Law School (J.D.) and Georgetown University Law School (L.L.M.). His legal practice is primarily corporate work associated with mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and recapitalizations, public offerings and taxation. Mr. Matz is a native of Pittsburgh, PA.
