FIG Partners' research combines fundamental analysis with a qualitative approach to identify successful companies and stocks. We frequently visit with middle-management to understand company's strategy and operations, open bank accounts, and visit the local community. We also perform technical analysis of stock price and volume trends, although this approach can be limited by liquidity and market-cap size.

We frequently look at company operating statistics from a different angle. We use ratios that are foreign to some company press releases such as RTC: Reserves+Tangible Capital, Risk-Adjusted Margin, and Implied Deposit Premium. In addition, rankings of companies on various levels (i.e., interest rate risk, "free funding", credit exposure, etc.) are conducted to compare and contrast financial institutions.

While our research focus is mid-cap and small-cap banks and thrifts, we apply the same FIG Partners analysis to the Top 50 U.S. banks. Thus, even if you are not a smaller bank investor, we welcome you to try our product.
