May 22, 2017
We’re pleased to share a recent accolade from Integrity Research Associates, an advisory firm that analyzes the global investment research industry.
FIG ranked No. 1 for the best three-year track record for buy recommendations in the community banking sector for the quarter ended March 31, 2017, according to the analysis from Integrity.
FIG’s buy recommendations to investors would have produced a return of 21.13% over three years, ahead of No. 2 Sandler O’Neil at 14%, No. 3. Ford Equity Research at 13.5% and No. 4. Keefe Bruyette & Woods at 13.7%.
FIG was also ranked No. 1 for buy recommendations for the past year through the first quarter of 2017.
FIG’s recommendations over the past year would have produced a return of 50.9% return – more than 11% higher than No. 2 Sandler O’Neil during the same period. The S&P 500 returned 17.2% for the 12-month period ended March 31, 2017 and 10.4% for the three-year period at the end of the first quarter.
Integrity’s rankings are calculated using data from Investars, a research performance measurement and commission management systems provider, by tracking the buy recommendations as if an investor had invested equal amounts of cash into each stock in the research firm’s buy portfolio. A buy remains a buy until changed to a hold or a sell. Investars collected performance data on 145 research providers for the period from April 1, 2014 through March 31, 2017.
